July Non-Beauty Favorites

It's been a while since I did my first Non-Beauty Favorites and since I've been really loving these things I decided to share them before my beauty favorites!

The first one has been a favorite for months now and it's Glamour magazine's 'all about you/working girl' articles. These articles feature women working in the artsy fartsy fields. And by artsy fartsy I mean jobs that involve different arts; music, photography, fashion. In the August issue, they featured Lisa Hickey who is the head of marketing at C3 Presents, an entertainment firm. She's helped organized and manage many events including Lollapalooza. They even did an article on Enid Hwang, the community manager at Pinterest. You know how you spend four hours just browsing through a website. Yeah, she gets paid to do that. I don't know if I've mentioned this but I want to do the same work as these women. I want to plan and manage events for companies and run around the city trying to find whatever my boss told me to find. I'm all about that fast-paced-I-need-caffeine-ASAP life.

You might now know this but Beyonce has been on her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour since April and Queen B will be touring till December. Gurl, werk. Sadly I wasn't able to go to her concert when she was in H-Town but I've been living vicariously through the Instagram acount "THEMCSWTFANS". They post amazing pictures from shows and backstage so if you love you some Sasha Fierce be sure to follow them!

This next favorite has been a favorite of mine since the beginning of last school year, but since I recently started again I've fallen back in-favorite with it. I'm part of the Student Heroes Program at Houston Food Bank and it's a program where high school kids can learn managing and costumer service skills. During the school year we go every Saturday and in the summer we go Wednesday and Saturday. I can honestly say that going to the food bank is the highlight of my week. I love the friends that I've made there, and we're helping out with a good cause. It's a win-win!

Last and certainly not least! Iced Caramel Macchiato. I LOVE YOU. That's pretty much all that needs to be said. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend you do!
